What a Game Art Pipeline Actually Does

A game art pipeline is the organized path that visual assets follow from the first idea to the final playable match. An asset can be almost anything players see: a footballer, a jersey, a stadium tunnel, a menu icon, a ball, a camera-side ad board, or even the mud that appears on a rainy pitch.

The pipeline keeps creative work from becoming chaos. It sets standards for file names, software, art styles, technical limits, review stages, and handoffs between artists, designers, animators, and engineers.
